The Kalama River to River Challenge 10K and 5K Run-Walk 2011

The Kalama River to River Challenge is intended to be a family friendly event promoting wellness and fitness for all ages. All levels of fitness are welcome to participate in the beautiful scenic race that fits your fitness level.
This year’s 10K Challenge will begin at the fair grounds traveling around Kress Lake to Kalama River Road, turn west continuing over the I-5 overpass toward the Columbia River, turning north along Steelscape to the Columbia River where it will circle and return toward I-5 turning south on Fishermen’s Loop toward the Kalama River where they will U-turn and head back to the fair grounds over the I-5 overpass finishing at the fairgrounds where hydration and a hearty pancake breakfast will be awaiting you.
This year’s 5k Run-Walk will take you on a scenic walk around Kress Lake and north along a scenic route returning to the fair grounds where hydration and a hearty pancake breakfast will be awaiting you.
10K Awards will be presented during the breakfast at the grandstand. Trophies will be awarded to the 1st Place Overall male and 1st Place Overall female. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all age groups. *(NO medal will be awarded to 1st place in the age category of overall winners.) Ribbons will be awarded for 4th-10th place in all age groups. The age groups are U15; 16-20; 21-30; 31-40; 41-50; 51-60; 61-70; 71+. Sponsor prizes will also be given during a drawing following award presentations.

The Kalama River to River MS/HS Cross Country Challenge

This event will take place at the Kalama Fair Grounds located east of I-5 and north of Kalama River Road in Kalama, WA.
This year’s Cross Country Challenge will take you on a scenic route around Kress Lake and east along a scenic route returning to the fair grounds where hydration and a hearty spaghetti dinner will be awaiting you.
Awards will be presented during the dinner at the grandstand. Trophies will be awarded to the 1st Place Overall male and 1st Place Overall female. Medals will be awarded for 2nd and 3rd place for MS and HS age groups. Ribbons will be awarded for 4th-10th place.
Post 3:30 and Start Time 4:00 PM.
